About Scheltrum
A coin, dice, a random number in any range, and a picker that draws from a list you paste in. Everything runs in your browser and nothing you type is sent here.
What this site does
Four tools, one job each. A coin for a yes-or-no you are genuinely
indifferent about. Dice for a game. A
number in a range when you need one value and no bias. A
picker when the list is yours and the choice should not be.
Why one page per range
Because the questions differ. Somebody who needs a number from 1 to 20 is usually rolling for
a game; somebody who needs 1 to 100 is usually drawing a winner. Each page states the odds for
its own setup, which is the part most randomiser pages leave out.
The limitation worth knowing
These tools use the browser’s built-in random number generator. It is fine for deciding who
goes first and unsuitable for anything where the result has value to someone who could predict
it — passwords, keys, or a prize draw that matters. For those, use a source built for the
purpose.
What we do not do
No account, no sign-in, nothing to install. Lists you paste into the picker stay in your
browser and are never transmitted to this site.
